In Memory of Melisa C. Potter

Former Legal Assistant / Deaf Liaison

Melisa (Lisa) Chase Potter began working as a Legal Assistant and Deaf Liaison with Bianca | Matkins (under the name Bianca Law Firm at the time) in 2018 and handled the needs of the firm’s Deaf or Hard of Hearing clients. Lisa provided an invaluable resource to help everyone at our firm understand Deaf culture and to communicate effectively with members of the Deaf Community. Lisa's tireless quest for Deaf Advocacy opened our eyes to the legal needs of the Deaf Community and she showed us what we could do to help. With Lisa's assistance, we successfully provided legal representation to many Deaf clients over the years. She was a cherished and beloved friend. There is no question that Lisa brought a positive change to this world through her endeavors. We miss her and will continue to fight the good fight in her name.

Oakley

Chief Happiness Coordinator

If you have been to Bianca-Matkins, then you already know me. If you’re new here, hello! My name is Oakley. I am a black miniature schnauzer, which means I am hypoallergenic and do not shed. I am a proud graduate of Precision K9 Shaping and have been operating as the Chief Happiness Coordinator at Bianca-Matkins since I was just nine weeks old. I did not always intend to be a working dog. At first, I was only supposed to come to the office until I was old enough to be home alone. Then, I started meeting clients and realized I love nothing more than bringing joy to you all. I understand it’s never a great day when you have to see a lawyer. That’s why it is my goal to bring a little smile to your face during this tough time.
